We could not be more ready for the long awaited warm weather. Every time we head out with our camera gear, we hope to find budding green leaves and lush forest paths. But we are already halfway through April, and still the forest landscape remains bare. We have had to look for signs in other ways - on the lookout for pastel shades to remind us that spring is just around the bend. Here's what we've found so far...

Yellow

April 2025 - Though this tall grass will soon be a bright green, its current weathered and buttery shade compliments the grey forest beyond the shoreline.

Violet

March 2025 - Golden twinkle lights and pops of violet along each of its archways, this corridor is like being between seasons of winter and spring.

Blue

April 2025 - A macro photo of wild foliage that remains faded from winter's elements against the backdrop of Lake Ontario. With the water's surface glittering in the sunshine, it felt like we were looking out to the spring season itself, as it was making its journey over.

These iconic easter egg pastels of spring are missing one important shade: green. It has yet to make an appearance on our morning hikes. Like magic, it will appear one morning in abundance in countless shades of green painted across the landscape. For now, we play the waiting game and hope to catch those first few blooms through the lens.

If you're looking to add a bit of green to your space in celebration of the spring season, we invite you to check out our Spring Print Collection. Assorted sizes available.
