Welcome Winter

Winter, unlike all the other seasons of the year, signals us to rest. So often, we fight it. We try to jump in with full enthusiasm for all the possibilities this new season might bring. An overtired attempt at brainstorming and planning. This year, we listened to winter’s call.
For the first time, in our five years since starting Rome Wild, we are not pressuring ourselves to plan for the winter season ahead. Instead, we are going to rest and reflect. For our last blog of 2025, we’ve compiled our favourite photographs of the past year, across all four seasons. Our theme of the year was to expand. We wanted to capture grand skylines and epic lookouts through our camera lenses. You will notice that as the year progressed, we returned to our preferred photography styles: capturing the details, or the feeling of a season. In the end, our intention brought us back to basics through exploring the landscapes we love most in the city we call home.

We are so grateful to you for following us along on this Wild journey over the past year. Whether you’ve read the blog, or have followed our hiking adventures on social media, shopped our Print Collection, or stopped by our booth at a nearby artisan market to chat about camera lenses, we thank you. We truly appreciate each and every one of you for your support and we wish you a restful and peaceful winter season.
Stay Wild,
Rod & Meg
